RUPTUREWORT EXTRACT

Rupturewort extract, scientifically known as Herniaria glabra, is a plant traditionally used in Africa, Asia, Europe and Northern America.

Known for its beneficial effect on kidney and bladder health and normal circulation, Herniaria glabra (HG) is used in modern times to promote a healthy kidney cleansing function, and to support normal muscle tone of the urinary tract¹.* According to Phytochemical analysis, HG consists of triterpene saponins, flavonoids and hydroxycoumarins like, phenolic acids, tannins and essential oil, which support the natural kidney cleansing function¹.*

Animal studies illustrate the effect of saponines on the glomerular filtration rate index and urine flow^2*; pharmacological studies reveal the antioxidant effect of HG³.*
