COLOSTRUM

COLOSTRUM

Colostrum is a traditional remedy used to support the immune system1,2,3,4.* It’s the first mother’s milk, released during the first 72 hours after a mammal’s birth, and contains a variety of proteins, including immunoglobulins, lactoperoxidase, lactoferrin, lysozyme, cytokines, growth factors and proline-rich proteins, which the mother passes on to her baby as passive immunity. So valuable, it’s called "liquid gold". Colostrum supports the human body in two ways: through its numerous immune-supporting ingredients, and through the growth factors which help maintain optimal health of the whole organism3,4.* Lactoferrin, a valuable component of colostrum, is an iron-binding glycoprotein with numerous beneficial effects important for normal immune response5,6.* Colostrum also helps maintain the normal intestinal microflora, the overall health of the gastrointestinal tract, and the local immune response4.* The colostrum in Supreme Immunity is standardized to deliver more than 30% immunoglobulins.
